Conor Gormley has been cleared to play for Tyrone in their All-Ireland SFC semi-final against Mayo on Sunday week, August 25.

The experienced Carrickmore defender received a proposed one-match ban after being charged with striking Monaghan player Dessie Mone as the teams made their way off the pitch at half-time.

Tyrone were enraged it took so long for Gormley to be charged, with news of his suspension only arriving this week.
