Podge Collins is taking life as an internet sensation in his stride.

In Clare’s All-Ireland quarter-final win over Galway the Cratloe star produced a moment of wizardry which has gone viral on websites and forums.

In one fluid movement, under pressure from a number of Galway players, he transferred his hurley from right hand to left while simultaneously transferring the ball from his left hand to be struck in mid-air by his right, hand-passed to a colleague standing about 10 yards behind. Mesmerising, it brought gasps from the crowd of over 30,000, provoked applause from friend and foe alike.
