Hennelly gets call as Mayo face ’keeper crisis

The Mayo senior football squad has been hit by a goalkeeping crisis ahead of Sunday’s Connacht SFC final with both regular netminders, David Clarke and Kenneth O’Malley, set to miss out through injury.

As a consequence, Rob Hennelly has been recalled to the panel ahead of the historic showdown against London.

Hennelly (23), who was forced to leave the county squad due to work commitments 12 months ago, was invited to resume training last weekend and played in an ‘A’ v ‘B’ trial game on Sunday.
