Right corner-back Ryan McKenna, full-back Danny McBride and left half-forward Ciarán McGinley are all given their bows as the Red Hands have significantly overhauled the team which lost to Donegal in the Ulster championship.
Goalkeeper Pascal McConnell also returns to the side for the injured Niall Morgan, while Darren McCurry comes in at left-corner forward. Captain Stephen O’Neill and Dermot Carlin are also injured, with PJ Quinn having withdrawn from the panel since the defeat to the All-Ireland champions. Justin and Joe McMahon had both been struggling with injury in the interim and they are on the substitutes’ bench.
