Maguires bite the dust in Wales

The Maguire twins, Leona and Lisa, made their exit from the Ladies British Open Amateur Championship in South Wales yesterday.

Leona was the first to go, beaten 3&1 in the third round by Spaniard Jiminez and Lisa followed hours later when she went down 3&2 to another Spaniard, Luna Sobron, in the quarter-finals.

Leona got off to a disappointing start against Jiminez, losing two of the first three holes and was three down after six.
