A fifth All-Ireland would rid pain of 2011 loss, says Galvin

The 33-year-old was a sub on the team that let slip a 1-10 to 0-9 lead on Dublin with just six minutes remaining and the pain of that loss, according to Galvin, was far more intense than the joy of any of his previous four All-Ireland successes.

ā€œI think you’d have to go a long way to find a defeat like it in terms of any All-Ireland final,ā€ said Galvin. ā€œOn a personal level, I just divorced myself from it fairly quickly, because from my experience of All-Ireland defeats in the past, they can leave a bit of residue, they’re tough to take.
