Lower tiers blast coverage of games

RTÉ Sport have been criticised by three counties for their coverage of hurling on The Sunday Game.

The programme featured highlights of the Connacht, Leinster and Ulster SFCs as well as the Laois-Antrim and Carlow v London Leinster hurling clashes, but games in the Christy Ring and Nicky Rackard Cups, which were at the quarter-final stage, as well as the Lory Meagher Cup, were not shown.

The official Carlow GAA Twitter account, @Carlow_GAA, noted there had been: “A lot of anger on twitter over @RTESundayGame lack of hurling coverage, never mind calling 2 of our players by the wrong name.”
