Four-time All-Ireland winner Bryan Sheehan has questioned whether goalkeepers have an unfair advantage when taking free kicks.

Following Tyrone netminder Niall Morgan’s five-point haul in the Allianz FL Division 1 final, there have been mixed reviews on the practice. However Sheehan, who has no problem with a goalie taking the free, did question the length of time it took.

“We remember the 2011 All-Ireland final, would I get that long to take a free or would the referee throw the ball in?” he said. “If I was delaying, waiting around, what would happen? That’s my only issue with it.
