Pobalscoil na Tríonóide take Rebel honours

Drawing upon the heritage of Youghal CBS and Coláiste Eoin as well as Loreto Secondary School, the community school opened its doors in 2006. A Cork U16B title was won in ’07, with Séamus Harnedy and Brian O’Halloran – current seniors for Cork and Waterford respectively – in the side, and last December the Kinnane Cup (Munster U16½B hurling) was claimed.

The school was recently honoured with the Rebel Óg Award for April, and team manager Brian Lotty points to the success as another step in the process of creating a history.
