Time clock extended to inter-county hurling ties

The introduction of an independent time clock for senior inter-county football championship games, which was passed at last month’s GAA Congress, will be extended to hurling matches, it has been revealed.

At last night’s Cork County Board meeting, Central Council delegate Des Cullinane reported from the council’s most recent meeting, where it was decided to implement the clock in hurling as well.

Cullinane also informed board delegates that secondary sponsorship on county jerseys, another motion carried at Congress, will appear on the back of shirts as this area is more valuable in terms of exposure than the sleeves.
