Beirne makes most of reprieve

From the ricochet of McAllion’s shot, Leitrim swept down field for Beirne to register the score that won a game in which London had enjoyed the upper hand for long periods.

It was level at half time but shortly after the restart London went ahead thanks to Padraig McGoldrick and Sean Kelly. However the game was turned on its head thanks to Beirne’s dramatic intervention.
