It was a far cry from the drawn match, which required a late point from Nemo’s Luke Connolly to salvage a replay.
This time, the title holders had an unbelievable 3-6 on the board before Bishopstown recorded their first score, on 42 minutes.
Nemo ran riot in the opening 30 minutes, playing some delightful football. They notched three early points from Alan O’Donovan and Connolly (2). O’Donovan was in sparkling form around the middle and initiated the move that saw Ciaran Dalton strike for the opening goal in the 11th minute.
Cork U21 player Connolly, who finished with 1-6, found the net a couple of minutes later following support play from Conor Horgan and Donal O’Keeffe, and the shouting had barely died down when Conor O’Donovan linked up with Connolly to register their third goal 10 minutes from the break.
Unfortunately for Bishopstown, the few opportunities they had in front of the posts were spurned and they trailed 3-6 to no score at the interval.
Bishopstown eventually broke their duck when, 12 minutes after the restart, Sam Oakes kicked over a fine point. But, Nemo despite taking their foot off the pedal, banged over three successive points from Alan O’Donovan (2) and Connolly.
Bishopstown picked off another brace of points from Oakes and county U21 defender Conor Dorman. Once again the Capwell side responded, with Connolly and Jack Horgan points helping to see them run out with an incredible 17 points to spare.
