Avondhu, who hit 12 wides to Duhallow’s one, led 1-4 to 0-1 by the 25th minute of the opening half.

Cian O’Riordan hit 1-1, including a 14th minute major after Kevin Murphy saved Andrew O’Brien’s initial shot while O’Brien added two points himself.
