Limerick captain Donal O’Grady sustained a broken collarbone against Carlow in Sunday’s NHL Division 1B clash at the Gaelic Grounds.

O’Grady is confident he will be fit in time for the Munster SHC semi-final against Tipperary on June 9. O’Grady, 32, recalled: “It’s the first time that’s happened to me. There was a clearance and I caught the ball and handpassed it to Paul Browne.

I ran on to give him an option of a return pass but he handpassed it back to me and the Carlow man lined me up beautifully. It was textbook. There’s talks of being out for six to eight weeks, for the rest of the League anyway.
