Mayo team hotel like ‘a building site’

Ballintubber delegate Ollie Dillon told a Mayo County Board meeting last week that he had heard the trip for the players, a reward for reaching last year’s All-Ireland final, took 24 hours and the party were arriving in “dribs and drabs”. He also queried if there was an issue with the pocket money players were due to receive.
“County players are our assets and if this is how we treat them, it’s not good,” he said.
