Mulcahy four-goal haul as Rebels roar
Mulcahy had amassed a hat-trick by the 19th minute, with the Rebels playing against the wind in the first-half, while Rhona Ní Bhuachalla also raised green flags in the fifth and 12th minutes.
Emma Farmer opened the scoring for the home side in the second minute, but it would take 11 minutes for Dublin to register their first score thanks to a Sinéad Aherne free.
Orla Finn, Emma Farmer and Rhona Ní Bhuacalla all had points, while Aherne, Lyndsey Davey and Kim Flood contributed scores for Dublin who trailed 0-5 to 5-6 at the turnaround.
Paul Gilheaney’s side re-started much better, and within three minutes Davey got on the end of an Aherne assist to fist the ball into the back of Lisa Crowley’s net.
However, a cracking free kick by Mulcahy on the 48th minute was the final nail in the coffin, despite a late Natalie Hyland goal on the 60th minute.
Elsewhere, Monaghan defeated Donegal 2-17 to 1-5 and Laois beat Mayo 4-9 to 2-10.
