McGrath points way as LIT Tipperary survive Queen’s scare

Goals from Ciaran Reid, Donal Hughes and Conor Corvan kept Queen’s in contention until the end, but the sharpshooting of Shane McGrath helped the Tipperary men into today’s decider, where they will take on IT Tralee, who staged a late fightback to defeat Trinity College Dublin 1-11 to 1-10.

Queen’s got off to a great start and raced in to a 0-4 to 0-1 lead, and LIT Tipperary suffered a further shock in the 13th minute when Ciaran Reid managed to flick past James Logue for the Ulster side’s first goal.
