O’Leary starts as Rebels make changes
Conor Counihan will be without his three U21 players for Sunday’s Division One trip to Newry.
Damien Cahalane is suspended for the game following his red card against Kildare last month while Clonakilty’s Tom Clancy and John O’Rourke have also been released as Cork’s U21s prepare for their Munster opener against Kerry on March 13.
Noel O’Leary (pictured) makes his first league start of the season and comes into the half-back line along with Fermoy’s Tomas Clancy. Barry O’Driscoll replaces O’Rourke in the attack.
Graham Canty is again named in midfield where he played alongside Aidan Walsh against Kildare. Alan Quirke is also available again following army duty and is on the bench.
Dublin make two changes to the team that beat Kerry for tomorrow’s game against Mayo. College-tied Rory O’Carroll is replaced by Darragh Nelson in defence and suspended Michael Darragh Macauley’s spot is taken by Declan O’Mahony.
Diarmuid Connolly is fit to start despite picking up a knee injury in Killarney last month.
Tyrone manager Mickey Harte gives Michael Murphy his first start of the season, against Donegal this weekend. Conor Clarke moves from midfield to full-back. Matthew Donnelly comes in for Plunkett Kane and Kyle Coney and Aidan Cassidy are among the subs.
