Ryan: Cork sponsorship deal at advanced stage

Cork chairman Bob Ryan is optimistic a new county sponsor will be announced in the coming weeks.

He confirmed talks with prospective backers have progressed since the start of the month, when the footballers sported the Mercy Foundation logo on their jerseys for league matches.

“We’re at a more advanced stage in negotiations,” he said. “They’re ongoing and I’d be confident we will be able to conclude them over the next few weeks.”
