O’Sullivan refutes Cummins’ Rebel analysis

Former Cork selector Ger O’Sullivan disagrees with Ray Cummins’ assertion that the team’s forwards don’t work hard enough.

Conor Counihan’s side have lost their opening two League games but O’Sullivan, who stepped down at the end of last year, isn’t concerned.

“I was at the match (v Dublin) in Croke Park and Páirc Uí Rinn (v Kildare) and the one they lost in the McGrath Cup against Tipperary.

“I just feel with new management players take a while to get used to new voices.”

Meanwhile, Cork forward Jamie Coughlan has undergone the hip operation which will keep him out of theentire Allianz Hurling League campaign. The Newtown-shandrum man should be fit again by the time JimmyBarry-Murphy’s side playeither Clare or Waterford in the Munster SHC on June 23.
