With Waterford IT having already beaten Carlow, it means next week’s game between Cork and Waterford will be to decide which of the colleges gets home advantage in the last eight.
Despite starting slowly here, and falling behind when Paddy Walsh’s goal put Carlow 1-1 to 0-2 ahead in the 12th minute, Cork responded well.
