Supermacs chips in to unite Galway codes

Galway’s Gaelic football and hurling teams will have the same jersey, crest, and sponsor for the first time.

Supermacs, which was confirmed as the new backers last night, has had a connection with the hurlers for two decades, during which time Tommy Varden, Aer Arann, and Cancer Care West were involved with the footballers.

Former TD and current Galway GAA County Board chairman, Noel Treacy, is looking forward to Sunday’s Allianz NFL Division 2 clash with Derry as it will be a “historic” day for the Tribesmen.
