The Clare native, who yesterday celebrated a family wedding, was appointed as temporary secretary of the provincial council following Pat Fitzgerald’s decision to step down.

Former Munster secretary Moroney, who last year oversaw central loan payments to the Kildare County Board, said he will give due thought to the possibility of holding both roles over the weekend.
