€722,000 grant aid confirmed

Hundreds of GAA clubs throughout Munster got the Christmas present they were hoping for last night with almost €750,000 in grant aid for development from the provincial council.

Cash injections ranging from €30,000 down to a few hundred euro were presented by Munster Council chairman, Sean Walsh.

Walsh told club representatives in Cork: “I made a promise three years ago that we had to ring-fence around three-quarters of a million euros every year for our clubs, which are the bedrock of the association. The level of development around the province is very encouraging.”
