Duffy: Some rules could transfer to hurling

Paraic Duffy has stressed that the recommendations listed yesterday are being forwarded for football only but admitted that some could be assimilated into hurling in the future.

“Everything that’s here is football only,” said the GAA’s Director General at Croke Park. “There is a standing committee on playing rules chaired by the Uachtarán [Liam O’Neill], and let’s see what Congress does.

“If these motions are passed and some of them apply to hurling — the advantage one stands out — but at the moment these only apply to football.”
