Corcoran powers Castleknock to victory

Castleknock 1-10 St Fintan’s 1-05

Despite struggling for possession in the early stages and trailing to a seventh minute free from Donal Shanley, Castleknock gradually seized control and were ahead by the end of the first quarter through two Rory Corcoran frees.

Four further frees from Corcoran reflected the Dublin club’s dominance and points by Jamie Tunney and Tommy Corcoran pushed them six points clear at the interval.

Rory Corcoran’s 38th minute goal effectively settled the contest with Niall Moore’s goal five minutes from time arriving far too late to alter the complexion of the contest.
