The Kerry inter-county man was shown a straight red card midway through the second half of this tough battle in Bruff. Galvin clashed with Robert O’Donnell, who was also dismissed but for a second yellow card offence.
Pallasgreen were to finish with 13 with midfielder Jonathan Deere also shown a second yellow card in the 60th minute.
John Colbert-managed Finuge, who lined out without the injured Eamon Fitzmaurice, led 2-4 to 0-6 at half-time, all scores in the opening 15 minutes.
A Paul Galvin free had them off the mark in the first five minutes. Pallasgreen’s Chris McMahon replied with a free but then the Kerry champions opened the first meaningful lead.
Raymond Galvin pointed and then in the ninth minute came the first of James Flaherty’s two goals when he finished high to the net from close range.
Eddie Mulcahy hit back for Pallasgreen but a Galvin free and a fine Maurice Corridan score increased the margin to 1-4 to 0-2 with 14 minutes played.
Then Flaherty struck again. This time he side-stepped keeper Denis O’Connor to fire to an empty net for a 2-4 to 0-2 lead.
Finuge did not score again in the half as Pallasgreen battled back. Points from McMahon (frees), Kevin Barry and Tony McMahon had the lead down to four points by half-time. Three points on the resumption from Stephen Power, John Griffin and Pat Corridan reaffirmed the Finuge control. But they were to score just another two points in the remaining 23 minutes.
The double-sending off came midway though the half as Finuge led 2-7 to 0-7. McMahon and Seamus Hayes had Pallasgreen points but their goal came too late from sub Pa Hennessy.
