Mighty Milford turn on the style to rule Munster

The Cork champions, hugely impressive in their county final win over St Catherine’s, were too powerful for their hosts in a game which struggled to come to life in difficult conditions.

Milford, thanks to a Marie Watson goal, led 1-4 to 0-3 at half-time while her sister Emer added four points for the winners.

Tara Kennedy and captain Trish O’Halloran were best for the losers but had no answer to the Milford challenge led by the Watsons, Anna Geary, Elaine O’Riordan, Maria Walsh and the impressive Deirdre O’Reilly.
