Spa bid to learn from late collapse

Spa bid to ensure there is no repeat of their dreadful finish to the drawn Kerry IFC final when they face Finuge in tomorrow’s replay (Austin Stack Park, 2.30pm)

Leading by three points, Spa looked to be coasting to the title before their opponents, inspired by new Kerry boss Eamonn Fitzmaurice and Paul Galvin, roared back into the game and reeled them in.

Spa will be boosted by the return of wing forward Niall O’Donovan and boast an impressive side including Michael O'Donoghue, Niall O'Mahony and Cormac Cronin and Craig Hickey while Fitzmaurice, Galvin, James Flaherty and Pat Corridan are the stars for the North Kerry outfit.

However Spa’s greater threat in attack — provided they play to their potential — may prove the difference.
