Lacey Footballer of the Year

Donegal’s Karl Lacey was last night named the 2012 Footballer of the Year.

The Four Masters player, who also won his fourth All Star, beat All-Ireland winning team-mates Frank McGlynn and Colm McFadden to claim the prize.

For the second year running, Mayo’s Cillian O’Connor received the young footballer of the year award, ahead of Meath’s Donal Keogan and Donegal’s Paddy McBrearty.
