Back on the Rocky road to success

With every underage hurling trophy comes greater pressure and expectation for the future, but Blackrock are more than happy to embrace it.

“We will have a lot of material to work with after the success at juvenile and minor level, and the U21s winning the county final last weekend,” accepts Rockies chairman, Eamonn O’Donoghue, “but people must understand that these things take time.”

Patience may not be something that comes readily to one of the most storied names in Cork hurling, and watching the juvenile and minor honours piling up on Church Road has everyone looking beyond the current fallow period at senior level.
