Early goals set Loughrea up for clash with Turloughmore

Loughrea, winners in 2006 and runners-up in two of the last three finals, booked their place in the Galway SHC semi-finals with a 2-10 to 1-13 win over neighbours and arch-rivals Mullagh yesterday.

Loughrea set themselves up for a semi-final meeting with Turloughmore next weekend when they struck for two goals in the opening nine minutes.

Indeed, it took them just 37 seconds to find the net with a delivery from Emmet Mahony setting Kenneth Colleran up for a goal.
