Crossmaglen still have final know-how

Emigration has ravaged clubs nationwide and, despite their unparalleled success, Crossmaglen Rangers have not been immune to the drain on resources.

Although they are on the brink of securing an incredible 16th Armagh senior football title in 17 years, this year has been set apart by tragedy and emigration, meaning that victory over city rivals Pearse Óg in tomorrow’s county final would, perhaps, be one of their most rewarding.

Shortly after they retained their All-Ireland club crown in the spring, they lost All-Ireland winning centre-back Danny O’Callaghan to emigration.
