Emmet Óg back on glory trail
Dromard made the perfect start and just 30 seconds elapsed when Francie McGee netted. Three unanswered points from the Killoe side levelled matters but Dromard took control and restored their three-point advantage by the 29th minute.
A free from Sean McCormack cut the lead to two before, on the stroke of half-time, Killoe grabbed a goal when Mark Hughes smashed home from a Shane Dowd pass.
Just as in the first-half, Dromard made a bright start to the second-half and fired over two points but the sides were level again in the 38th minute. In the 40th minute Killoe got their second goal from Ronan McGoldrick to put his side three up. There was one in it nine minutes from time but Dromard just couldn’t get the equaliser.
Right at the end McCormack fired over the insurance point for Killoe who now meet holders Longford Slashers.
