Though Tallow jumped into a 9th minute lead after William Henley’s superb goal, Dungarvan soon took control and led 0-8 to 1-4 at the interval.
Wind assisted, Dungarvan were ideally positioned to push on after the break. But Tallow, despite the loss of county man Paul O’Brien, started brightly and points from Shane Feeney and Tommy Ryan (free) had them ahead.
