Kerry chiefs avoid Croker clash

Kerry GAA chiefs have postponed their senior hurling decider by a week to avoid a clash with the All-Ireland SHC final replay between Galway and Kilkenny.

Champions Ballyduff were set to play Lixnaw on September 30 at Austin Stack Park but that tie is now set for October 7.

Meanwhile the dates, time and venues for the senior football championship quarter-finals and round three replay were finalised on Tuesday night.

Champions Dr Crokes will face Austin Stacks in a standalone fixture on Sunday, September 30 at 1.30pm, with the early time due to the Croke Park replay.

Garvey’s SuperValu SFC (Round 3 Replay): Saturday, September 22: Kenmare v St Michael’s Foilmore, Templenoe, 4.30pm.

Quarter-finals: Saturday, September 29: Laune Rangers v Rathmore, Fitzgerald Stadium, 3pm; Kenmare/St Michael’s Foilmore v St Kieran’s, Fitzgerald Stadium, 4.30pm; Daingean Uí Chúis v Feale Rangers, Austin Stack Park, 7pm.

Sunday, September 30: Dr Crokes v Austin Stacks, Austin Stack Park, 1.30pm.
