Kinsella: Don’t forget the players when sharing out €3m replay windfall

Kilkenny chairman Paul Kinsella expects the GAA to recognise the efforts of both sets of players in ensuring a money-spinning All-Ireland SHC final replay on September 30.

Kinsella: Don’t forget the players when sharing out €3m replay windfall

Kinsella was one voice among a chorus of people who welcomed Croke Park’s decision yesterday to reduce prices to the game to €50 and €25 for stand and terrace tickets — a reduction of almost 40% on Sunday’s admissions of €80 and €40 respectively.

Over 5,000 children are also expected to avail of the limited juvenile €10 tickets available, while season ticket holders will enjoy the discounted stand entry fee. However, Kinsella is confident the players of Kilkenny and Galway will be rewarded for playing their part in what is set to be a €3m pay day for the GAA.
