Monaghan appoint O’Rourke as boss

Former Fermanagh boss Malachy O’Rourke has been appointed as the new Monaghan senior football manager.

O’Rourke was ratified at a Monaghan County Board meeting last night.

Former Armagh All-Ireland winner and Down assistant boss Aidan O’Rourke and ex-Clare manager Michael McDermott had also been in the running for the job.

O’Rourke takes over from Eamonn McEneaney, who resigned in July.
