Former Meath aces nominated

Meath legends Colm O’Rourke, above left and Graham Geraghty, above right, are among the nominations for the county’s vacant senior football post.

County board chiefs released the 10 nominations yesterday. However, one of those, Séan Kelly, this week ruled himself out of the race to succeed Seamus McEnaney.

Former Meath boss Eamon O’Brien and former Louth manager Paddy Carr are on the list.

So too is the former Tipperary manager John Evans, who was part of McEnaney’s backroom team this season.
