O’Neill: Tax no big deal
Last February, Croke Park confirmed the Association had entered into further talks with the Revenue about the procedure for taxation, if any, on referees’ match payments.
However, there has been little update since.
“It isn’t as big an issue as people first thought,” said GAA president Liam O’Neill. “We have no fears on that. We have talked openly with the tax authorities and the perceived difficulty isn’t as big as it would seem.”
