Despite the setback, Kieran’s, who missed a penalty but had Jim Donovan on the scoresheet with two goals, take second spot in Group 2 and qualify for the quarter-finals.

Galbally could join them as Vinny O’Connell’s two late points turned the tables on Adare in Bruff on Saturday evening on a scoreline of 1-11 to 1-10. Goals from Galbally’s Darren Sheehy and Adare’s Robbie Bourke left the sides level at 1-6 apiece at the break.
