Cummins: Fury must fire Tipp

Manic endeavour, whether in hurling or football, that’s what it takes to win an All-Ireland senior title these days according to veteran Tipp goalkeeper Brendan Cummins.

The man with more championship appearances than anyone who ever played the games (70 in hurling — a record in its own right — and 16 in football) is a believer in passion for the game as a key to success.

“There is an element almost of fury, of being possessed — call it what you like,” he said.
