Tribesmen had our measure, admits Kenny

Cork wing-back Tom Kenny admitted after yesterday’s All-Ireland semi-final defeat that Galway “seemed to have the measure” of his side after half-time.

“It’s very disappointing, we came up with the full intention of making it to the final — going into the second half we were in a very good position, but as the second half went on, I don’t know if we were too narrow or hitting in the wrong ball, Galway just seemed to have the measure of us in the second half.

“Pa Cronin was very unlucky with his goal chance, that would probably have raised the Cork crowd and got us back level, but such is life. Such is sport.”
