Cassidy to play in Boston

As Donegal bid for a second Ulster title on the trot, the man who played a huge role in their run to the All-Ireland semi-final last season last season has gone to the United States.

Former two time Donegal All Star Kevin Cassidy flew to Boston last week. The Gaoth Dobhair clubman is expected to play with a Donegal side there.

Cassidy had been playing outstanding football for his club but had pencilled in a six week working holiday from earlier in the year.

He has not been part of the panel since he took part in a book on Donegal last year.

Westmeath ace Dessie Dolan is another to have left for a taste of life in the US and he arrived in Boston last Thursday where it’s believed he’ll line up alongside Cassidy in the Donegal colours for the summer.
