Murphy: We must improve

Long-serving Cork star Nicholas Murphy was singing from the same hymn sheet as his manager after yesterday’s Munster final, describing the Rebel performance as “disappointing”.

Cork won well but Murphy felt he and his teammates have “a lot to improve on”.

“We were disappointing overall,” said the Carrigaline man. “There’s a lot to improve on but when we got the goals we were trying to be as ruthless as we could in the first half and I suppose the second half petered away.
