Downing a pint to Davy’s venture

Clare’s victory on Saturday made the perfect occasion for the launch of Davy Fitzgerald’s new Ennis pub.

Situated on Abbey Street, The Dugout is jointly-owned by Fitzgerald and Waterford’s Reading striker Noel Hunt.

The pair struck a friendship during the Sixmilebridge man’s time as Waterford manager when the team trained at the Berkshire club’s grounds.
