Galway came from ten points down to stun Mayo in yesterday’s Connacht Ladies SFC final at McHale Park in Castlebar.

Mayo held a commanding 1-15 to 0-5 lead with 13 minutes left, but goals from Edel Concannon, Eilis Gannon, Ger Conneally and substitute Gillian O’Connor proved the difference against a Mayo outfit who had skipper Claire Egan and Aileen Gilroy sin-binned at crucial stages in the second half.
