McConville laments lost art

Oisín McConville used to go through a funk believing he’d missed the first free.

Sure enough, he did. “I then kicked over the next few and everything was fine,” he recalls.

“That was a wee hump I had to get over. Free-takers, like goalkeepers, are funny enough individuals. It’s a real confidence thing.”
