Tipp quartet in final fitness race

Tipperary senior hurling manager Declan Ryan is monitoring the fitness of defenders Michael Cahill and Thomas Stapleton as well as forward Pa Bourke ahead of the Munster SHC final showdown against Waterford on Sunday week.

Cahill is struggling with a chipped bone in his hand — an injury sustained during the semi-final victory over Cork, while Stapleton is nursing a groin injury.

Stapleton played no part as his club Templederry Kenyons hammered Golden-Kilfeacle in a county SHC clash last Monday evening while Bourke retired with a hand injury 17 minutes into the second half of his club, Thurles Sarsfields, Mid Tipperary senior hurling clash with JK Brackens last night.
