Counihan hails new maturity

Conor Counihan’s assessment of his side’s win yesterday was simple and clear — they imposed themselves on Kerry.

He saw a new maturity within his ranks as they kept a lead from the 23rd minute onwards.

“On other days we mightn’t have shown the same composure,” he said. “Today we did show a bit of composure and slowed it down. I think we tried to boss the game a little, which is we haven’t done previously.”
